Cancelation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all reservations made directly through the Muar Ey Deluxe Guest House website.

1. Guest Cancellation

Flexible Policy Example

  • Full refund for cancellations made more than 7 days before check-in.

  • 50% refund for cancellations made 6 days before check-in.

  • No refund for cancellations made within 1 day of check-in.

Replace with your preferred cancellation window.

2. No-Show Policy

Guests who fail to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior notice will be considered a no-show.

No-shows are not eligible for refunds.

3. Early Departure

No refunds will be issued for unused nights resulting from voluntary early departure.

4. Reservation Modifications

Date changes are subject to:

  • Availability;

  • Applicable rate differences;

  • Management approval.

Modification requests are not guaranteed.

5. Property-Initiated Cancellation

If Muar Ey Deluxe Guest House is unable to honor a confirmed reservation due to circumstances within our control, guests will receive:

  • A full refund of amounts paid; or

  • Alternative accommodation arrangements, where available and mutually agreed.

6. Force Majeure

Refunds relating to force majeure events may be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Examples include:

  • Natural disasters

  • Flooding

  • Government travel restrictions

  • Public health emergencies

  • Severe weather events

7. Security Deposit Refunds

Where a security deposit is collected, it will be returned after inspection of the accommodation.

Deductions may be made for:

  • Damage

  • Smoking violations

  • Missing items

  • Excessive cleaning

  • Lost keys or access devices

  • Unauthorized guests

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method used during booking.

Refund timelines depend on:

  • Stripe processing times;

  • Banks;

  • Card issuers.

Estimated processing period:

5–14 Business Days

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Guests agree to contact Muar Ey Deluxe Guest House first to resolve any payment concerns before initiating a chargeback with their payment provider.

We reserve the right to provide booking records, communications, check-in records, CCTV evidence (where legally permissible), and other supporting documentation to payment processors in response to disputes or chargebacks.
